Like all owners, you want to keep your new vehicle in top condition if possible. The maintenance schedule that comes with your Ford does just that.
Even though for many people - statistics show that 26% of people do not perform any maintenance on their vehicle - recommended maintenance is just a way to get money out of you, this is not the case. On the contrary, we want you to enjoy your car for as long as possible. Better yet, we'd like to save you money by preventing predictable breakdowns.
General Car Maintenance Schedule
Most car manufacturers follow a 24-48-72 maintenance schedule, which means there is a checklist of items that need to be inspected or replaced when your vehicle reaches those mileage intervals. Take our advice and get it done. You'll be surprised how much you can save if you do it carefully.
Of course, there are a few things that require a little more care at shorter intervals. This is the case for oil, windshield wipers or some filters. Most of the time, however, the advice in the maintenance booklet is the best.
Of course, you are not obliged to have your new car serviced by us. But we strongly recommend that you call a Ford specialist to make sure they know your car. Our technicians are specially trained to work on cars like yours, and they also have genuine parts that won't affect your warranty. So don't take a chance on anything else.
Do you have to follow your recommended maintenance schedule?
The answer to that question is simple: yes, in a nutshell. Obviously, no manufacturer can force you to service your vehicle at their facility. But the law is clear: if the maintenance steps were not done according to the procedures and with parts recommended by the original equipment manufacturer and the information in the owner's manual, the warranty may not apply.
It's tire season. Maybe you haven't had a chance to change yours yet. Take this opportunity to schedule your maintenance with our shop. Your car, and your warranty, will be the better for it.
