2024 Ford Maverick
Offered in 3 versions, the Ford Maverick is a surprisingly robust small truck. Whether it's the XL, XLT and Lariat model, they all come in a hybrid version that gets only 6.3 L/100 km with all-wheel drive. Compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, it's easy to drive on any style of road. In addition to style, it comes equipped with a number of safety features, including Co-Pilot360 and driver assistance features such as standard automated emergency braking, available lane departure warning with lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.
The Flexbed
The 2024 Ford Maverick is equipped with Flexbed, which is nothing short of the most innovative truck bed Ford has ever created. It is loaded with organization and storage features to allow its users to secure the contents of its box with simple and innovative ways, including multiple tie-down hooks, rails and a modular tailgate. You can create your own dividers with purpose-built cables, or make your own layout using simple pieces of wood, making the Maverick more versatile than ever.
P for practical
In addition to sharing its platform with the Bronco Sport SUV, it has four doors and a spacious interior. It's smaller than the Ranger, but it offers plenty of storage space. Although its bed is smaller, the truck is still 4.5 feet long and has a payload of 1,500 lbs. It also has a towing capacity of 4,000 lbs. with the Ecoboost engine.
P for performance
Offering two powertrains, all versions of the 2024 Ford Maverick come standard with a 2.5L 4-cylinder and a 1.1 kWh battery, an electric motor for a combined 191 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque. It can easily go from 0 to 100 mph in 7.5 seconds. Ford also offers a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque and an eight-speed automatic transmission. With this engine, front-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive are available as options.
The Tremor Package
Available only on models equipped with the non-hybrid all-wheel drive engine, the Tremor Package is the off-roading equipment that allows the Ford Maverick to go even further. With a revised suspension that gives the standard truck an inch of lift, the cooler and dual-clutch rear differential also complements Ford's Trail Control system that acts as cruise control for the trails. So it can go wherever it wants.
